As I've mentioned that I've had some adventures for the last two weeks. And in the last couple ones, a realization sprouted [what else is new?].
While my friend and I were at First Friday, she noticed a ton of people that were staring at me. Like, blatantly staring at me. I didn't quite notice because I don't really pay much attention to people around me in places like that. But once I did notice, that's when my friend told me how hardcore it was. I found it especially odd, because in the atmosphere of First Fridays, I don't really look out of the ordinary. My bright hair and tattoos actually puts me more in a place there. After I mentioned that, she says, "But you're pretty." She then went on about how most people there are a fake-hipster-trying-to-look-artsy-cool kinda type [in my own words] and that I'm genuine in my sense of style and personality. Which she's totally right. But this still surprised me. It only further happened the next night at Ethos. To further prove that, someone gave me their phone number.
Well the paparazzi/fanclub members still haven't gone away, that's for sure.
As much as I can easily say this happens to me all the time, it's still a bizarre experience that I don't think I will ever get used to.
