Paint Your Perfect Day

It's always interesting when I have dreams of a part of my night and it will take certain aspects and expand on them. They're always so real. The feeling lingers with me throughout the day.

On another note, I did dream of two young sisters who had beautiful and vividly colored tattoos along their backs and arms. I was a little disappointed that they got them done at such a young age before their bodies grew into what they will be. But these tattoos were just utterly gorgeous. They were kind of matching tattoos, that maybe the whole family had. The older sister had a bright red and orange reptilian scale half sleeve on one arm. The younger sister had this too, but maybe more of it. The older sister's other arm and shoulder was covered in a rainbow colored tattoo. I can't remember the design but every inch of her skin was colored. It was a scale of every color of the rainbow. So bright and perfect. Not to mention these girls had darker olive skin so these colors looked amazing. The younger one had a slight resemblance of this rainbow pattern on her back. I only remember more turquoise and reds and violets on her back. I think I was playing basketball with these girls, or they were. I was too busy staring at their skin. Their father was off to the side talking to someone I knew. I believe he probably had tattoos also.

I learned that color is one of the first things you forget after awakening from a dream. I definitely have experienced this, but there are some dreams where the colors are just astonishing and they stick with my memory.

I will take the time to focus on another sense in dreams. Hearing. Just the other morning I dreamt of my dog Roxy, a golden retriever. My family and I were at my house along with additional members, for whatever reason. Roxy was extremely depressed about something, I have no idea why now. But she was crying, it was a horrible sound. It sounded more human than it did dog. Constantly and very loudly she was wailing and crying and wouldn't stop. Finally I laid on the ground with her and put my arms around her, and she stopped. Then I woke up. I can still hear the sound although it's impossible for me to imitate it. It is interesting though, I rarely dream of Roxy, I usually dream of Sparky....even though he's no longer here.
