Choices

Finished my reading last night and rewarded myself by watching some Burn After Reading. I love the "What the fuck??!!?" feelings that you get from that film. It's hilarious. However, as I'm trying to sleep I have a half awake dream. It involves me being in some dark creepy parking garage alone at the wee hours of the night. An older taller man was near my car and talking to me. He wouldn't go away. He never touched me nor neared me. But the way he was standing and never leaving scared me enough. I don't remember what he was saying to me but I believe he was asking me questions. I may have hit him a few times telling him to go away. Then I'm in my bedroom, sleeping, just as I really was. I turn over and see the man standing in my room next to my bed. I start to scream, screaming for my dad who's bedroom is right next to mine. I can see in the darkness that my screaming worked and my dad was trying to figure out where I was. He came into my room and smashed the man's nose in. Then I woke myself up. As simple it is to describe it now, that creepy feeling lingered on while I tried to go back to sleep and remind myself that the man was not standing next to my bed. And what my dad did is definitely not far from what I would imagine him doing.
To dream that you are in parking lot, suggests that you need to slow down and take some time to relax from your daily activities.
To dream that you cannot find a parking space, indicates your inability to find your place in life. You may still be on your quest to find your talent or niche where you belong. Alternatively, it may reflect your busy life and the lack of time you have.
To have a dream that takes place at night, represents some major setbacks and obstacles in achieving your goals. There are some issues in your life that you are facing, but are not too clear. You should put the issues aside so you can clear your head and come back to it later. Alternatively, night may be synonymous with death, rebirth, reflection, and new beginnings.
To dream that you are scared, indicates that you are experiencing self-doubt and feelings of incompetence in your waking life. You may be feeling a lack of control. Perhaps you are having second thoughts about a decision you have made. Anger often masquerades as fear, so also consider issues about which you are angry about in your waking life.

To dream that you hit something or someone, is symbolic of unexpressed anger and aggression. You tend to keep your negative feelings inside instead of expressing them in a healthy way.
To dream that you are sleeping, denotes peace of mind. Alternatively, it may also mean that you are ignorant and not fully aware of the conditions and circumstances around you. If you are sleeping with a stranger, suggests that you are avoiding some issue or situation that is being symbolized by the stranger. Perhaps you are refusing to recognize a negative aspect of yourself.
To dream that you are screaming, symbolizes anger and fear. It is an expression of your powerful emotions which you have kept pent up inside. If you try to scream, but no sound comes out, then it indicates your sense of helplessness and frustrations in some situation. No matter how hard you try to get someone's attention, they cannot hear you. It highlights your difficulty in communicating with this person. You need to immediately identify your fears or feelings and confront this situation in real life.
To see your father in your dream, symbolizes authority and protection. It suggests that you need to be more self-reliant. Consider also your waking relationship with your father and how aspects of his character may be incorporated within yourself.

To dream that you are being protected or need protection, indicates that you are feeling helpless in some situation. Life's difficulties has made you dependable on others. You need to start taking charge of the situation.
To dream of broken bones, signifies that you have discovered or realized that there is a weakness in your plans or in your thinking. Your dream may call for your immediate attention to a particular situation or relationship.

A great deal of these interpretations mention fear and anger. I cannot necessarily say that I feel these things or at least not to great immensity. But I will not doubt the film I watched before bed slipping into my dream.

My other dream includes:
To dream that you are driving a vehicle, signifies your life's journey and your path in life. The dream is telling of how you are moving and navigating through life. If you are driving and cannot see the road ahead of you, then it indicates that you do not know where you are headed in life and what you really want to do with yourself. You are lacking direction and goals. If you are driving on a curvy road, then it indicates that you are have difficulties in achieving your goals and the changes associated with it. Alternatively, driving a car in your dream, is analogous to your sex life and sexual performance. Consider how you are driving and what kind of car you are driving and how it relates to your waking sex life.
To dream that you are in a restaurant, suggests that you are feeling overwhelmed by decisions/choices that you need to make in your life. Alternatively, it indicates that you are seeking for emotional nourishment outside of your social support system.

To dream that you are choking on an object, suggests that you may find some advice/remarks/situation hard to swallow or difficult to accept. In particular, if you are choking on food, then it may be an expression of self-guilt and unnurtured feelings.

To dream that you are hugging someone, symbolizes your loving and caring nature. You are holding someone or something close to your heart. Alternatively, it may indicate your need to be more affectionate.

To see friends in your dream, signifies aspects of your personality that you have rejected, but are ready to incorporate and acknowledge these rejected aspects of yourself. The relationships you have with those around you are important in learning about yourself. Additionally, this symbol foretells of happy tidings from them and the arrival of good news.

Combining all of these, decisions and choices seems to also be a major theme. This definitely has some significance in my life currently. Hence the feelings of fear are most likely associated with these decisions. New things are happening and the future has a broad territory for me to explore and make determinations on. I'm scared for myself. I always obsess on making the right decision and now I am more so as well as being consciously aware of it throughout the day.

I just had a brief moment of déjà vu. Well, I need to head back to my life at the library.

I also forgot to mention that when I dreamt about being in my bed when the man was standing in my room. Sparky was sleeping on my bed near my legs in the dream. Part of this is probably because I let Roxy sleep on my bed with me, which I never do because she's so big. So I have not shared my bed with anything since Sparky, so that's all I associate that with...with him.
