Oh how I love thee Greg Behrendt. Last night was pretty fucking awesome despite my being sick. We went to Oktoberfest for a couple hours, my friend got a free beard trim. Oh man, how funny that was. The clipper company Wahl had a trailer there to promote their new beard trimmers by giving free trim sessions and having you sign up for stuff and all. My friend got sucked into it not really knowing what was going on. When the girl asked what he wanted he replied with "make me less like Chuck Norris." I'm proud. We walked around, drank beers, smoked cigars. We got there early so there weren't as many people there quite yet. We got a ride to the Improv and got more beers and spectacular nachos. Two comedians opened for Greg, one being absolutely hilarious. My face hurt. He was Jewish and somewhat flamboyant or "not so much of a man" as he said. He made several racial and homosexual comments, which all then in turn were essentially making fun of himself. He was good, I enjoyed it. Greg, awwwwesome!!!! I didn't want it to end. There's something about his style, it's just highly relatable. I mean, I love how comedians take every day occurrences and such and put a funny twist on it, or point out something you never bothered to question or think. But Greg, is another level beyond that, something just...genuine and real. Something that just about everybody in the room can relate to for the most part. It's honest. That's what it is. He is absolutely honest. It's wonderful. I can't even begin to tell you some of the things he said, for words alone are not enough to represent him. I'll also add that he's just fun to watch, to look at. I'll probably tell some of his jokes, or hint at them in the future. Afterwards, we had to walk a couple miles back to my car near Oktoberfest. So we went back to Oktoberfest to use the rest of our tickets we bought. For some reason the whole way walking back, drivers were screaming and yelling at us. So we yelled a bunch of wooo's back. We hung out by the lake and enjoyed the view, beer, and cigar. I was finally content and ready to die after a long eventful day. Then I finally slept in and got some well needed sleep.
Today I am planning on finally putting some red dye in my dreads because the assumption that my dreads are orange is really annoying me. I'll see how it goes, hopefully they don't undo themselves.
