First, since my hair is still dark, any dye that I planned on doing was only to tint my hair and to make the roots different. I initially was going to lighten the back/bottom parts a bit, but decided to use up some other dye first. Perhaps when summer comes, I'll lighten my hair a bit. This will do for now while I'm still working at the school til summer breaks us.
I dyed my hair two different types of red colors, some auburn and some burgundy. I can get specific but there's no point. Either way, my hair is only a little tinted and is most noticed in the sun. I only just did it today so I don't fully know what it looks like yet...becauseeeee I'm working on another project with my hair!
I'm making my dreads temporarily curly. I have no idea how this process will turn out since I am now at the waiting stage for a bit til I see the end results.
A month or so ago I stumbled along videos on how to make dreadlocks curly after I was researching how to trim dreadlocks [trimming for someone else, not myself]. The video below was the most helpful although the most brief. This is what I'm basing my technique on except I've changed some steps.
She said to put certain products in her hair, this I avoided because there is only three things I'll ever put in my dreads [being water, dread shampoo, and peppermint dread spray]. I also did this just after washing my dreads, while they were still somewhat damp. I also put on a beanie to squeeze them into curly form since I will not be sleeping overnight with the twists in my hair.
Here are some photos of my own process:

Not as curly as I hoped, but next time I'll improvise some more.
