Mexico 2010

Here are my super late photos from my trip to Mexico last year. A total of 4 of us went. Captain Ahab bought the condo for the weekend and drove us there. The rest of us paid for gas, food, and drinks. It was a great deal, and a ridiculously nice vacation. I took a bunch of photos and then our friend pretended to be an Asian tourist by taking a thousand photos [while breaking in his new camera in the process]. All photos taken by him have the date in the lower right corner, the rest were taken by me.
Arrived to the meeting place in north Phoenix in the A.M.

Finally on the road. I'm officially named the Tour Guide over the course of this trip. This is due to my ridiculously good skills in directions and apparently understanding the roads of Mexico. Also make note of how red my hair is in the beginning of this trip.
Although she didn't get a name for the trip, the random bruise on her face did. Bruce the Bruise enjoyed Mexico with us.
Attempting to nap. Attempt failed.
The guys.
There was a lot of jokes, games, and Borat impressions during the ride.

Captain Ahab.

Asian Tourist.

A Mountain.

Our condo. The first thing we did when we entered Rocky Point was buy authentic Mexican beer. Here's the spacious kitchen.
Dining area.
Front door and area.
Patio and ocean view. Top floor baby!!
Living room couch/bed for the Asian Tourist.
Master bedroom for the Captain.
Bedroom for the ladies.
Sexy mirrors.
Ladies'/main bathroom.
Men's/master bathroom.
Master bath, it's massive!!
View of the pool directly below.
We mostly talked about how awesome this all was.
Preparing to get wet.
The elevator looked futuristic and Star Trekish to me.
Of course I'm not wearing any make up but glitter.
I enjoy this peaceful photo of me.
I still have every single one of these shells.
Having the ocean just outside your bedroom window is wonderful.
Morning time. We could never leave the bliss of our patio.
Time to walk around.
I took a picture of this place because I had dinner there the last time I ever visited Rocky Point years ago.
Mmmm tacos!!
These calories are sins!
One of my favorite photos.
One of the biggest things there, was a Burger King...
After our drinking UNO card game, we've decided to get a shuttle and check out the Mexican night life.
Notice hair color now.
Random wagon on our patio.
Not only was there a IceHouse in Mexico, but the Sand Bar too. Both bars also known in Arizona.
They sometimes have foam too.
Endless drinks for 20 dollars...
There were more photos that weren't captured by me that I never got a hold of. Also videos of each of us riding a mechanical bull for the first time. I still haven't seen these. But I will announce that I was wearing a skirt for that unfortunately.
We kept finding amazing taco stands. Mmmm!
More tacos.
I just remembered that we were playing a very intense game of asking very personal questions about past experiences. Of course, I'm always saying something horrible that requires a reaction like hers.
Before I continue with the rest of the photos, I have to tell a little story about the rest of this night, being our last night in Mexico. The cab drivers are awesome! After much trouble we were forced to get a taxi to get us back to our hotel. This guy could drive the streets of Mexico with his eyes closed, and at full speed. After the past couple days of Captain Ahab driving cautiously, this was definitely a fun ride. I sat in the back seat, somewhat intoxicated and really hot, just enjoying the ride with the windows down. I was enjoying my own bliss, and randomly laughing or stating that I could feel my eyelashes touch my eyelids. That is so because the driver was driving so fast that the wind had completely bent my eyelashes backwards. What I had missed was that the cab driver was asking us what we were up to and if we wanted any cocaine, or other drugs that he could possibly get for us. This was so nonchalant and part of normal conversation, that it surprised everyone. My friends had to decline his offer twice by the time he stopped. On top of that, he literally was driving really fast, through backstreets and barely stopping, not to mention that it was pitch black. We got to our hotel so fast, we were talking about the ride and the driver for quite awhile after.

We went back to the same place for breakfast because it was so good.
Pouty faces because we are leaving.
Giving back the keys.
Riding back, with more games, jokes, and worms.
