Fun Times

Although the day is nearly over, I still have to mention that today is Maynard James Keenan's 47th birthday. He made a funny "old man" tweet today: "4 my Bday: readin glasses, rolaids & sum kids ball that bounced into my yard which I'll be hanging onto 4 an extended period of time. punks." I love it.

Here's something to laugh at:

PostSecret still rules my Sundays.

Last night was a friend's birthday party which was epically named the Godzilla Stomp party. Yes, it was as awesome as it sounds. It consisted of tons of Japanese candy treats, alcohol, chicken on a stick, and other Japanese dishes that never got made. Food and drinks aside, the main events were the Godzilla film drinking game, stomping our little version of Tokyo, and Japanese inspired costumes. I shall have some pictures up but oddly I never got around to taking pictures of Tokyo. Hopefully someone else captured that part. I went dressed in attire much like Japanese street fashion [Google it]. The drinking game consisted of these rules:
  1. Drink anytime anyone says Godzilla
  2. Drink when you see Mr. Miagi
  3. Drink when an Asian screams
  4. Drink when someone looks concerned
  5. Drink when Godzilla smashes bridges or electrical lines
  6. Take 3 drinks when a fight scene occurs
  7. Drink when there's bad acting
Needless to say, we all got drunk. That sentence pretty much sums it up. Finally, the Tokyo was made of any kind of household cardboard box painted in solid colors and arranged on the outside patio/path to appear like a city. After we had our drinks and all our participants have arrived we got to stomp on the buildings Godzilla style. It was childishly fun.
