I survived yet the third case of food poisoning in my life yesterday. This was definitely the worst of it. I spent my entire Saturday in bed with several trips to the bathroom. Once it got really late in the night I was feeling better and dreaming of the places I would have a meal at today. I'm eagerly looking forward to it. However, I did order myself a handful of books from Amazon that I'm pretty excited about!
Bad Behavior
by Mary Gaitskill where the film
Secretary
got inspiration from.
Shopgirl
by Steve Martin. I read this book while with my ex, who owns it. I thoroughly enjoyed it and wanted it for myself.
Fahrenheit 451
by Ray Bradbury. I read this book when I first met my ex, and it rocked my world on so many levels, as I've blogged about. But, yet again, I don't own my own copy. I can't wait to read it again!
Lolita
by Vladimir Nabokov of which the film
Lolita
was also based. I watched the newer version of the film recently and find it incredibly interesting.
The Vagina Monologues
by Eve Ensler. This is a book and film that I have yet to read/see. I have seen and read small parts of it and did see a performance of it at ASU last year. I personally love Ensler, she's quite amazing and maybe in a way I share her writing style. Maybe. Speaking of which, the performances at ASU are due to happen again
very soon. And I'm sooooo going!!
And finally,
Eat Pray Love
by Elizabeth Gilbert. I'm very much excited to read that too.
This would be another one of those moments in my life where I just simply don't understand people that dislike reading.
