Experience Scmerience

An internship came to my attention and I have til Friday to apply [which I am really making the deadline as Thursday for myself]. By applying, I need to send them a letter of interest, a resume, and my unofficial transcript. I got the transcript printed out so far, now I just need to do the others. I haven't written a resume since my junior year of English class, and I have never written a letter of interest. Luckily I have a friend that is really good at this business writing stuff and an English teacher for a boyfriend, so I got the hook ups.

The internship is located just on the edge of campus, still very close to me. I can dedicate either 6 or 9 hours a week, which it will have to be 6 for me considering the complexities of my schedule already [weekends not included]. For the 6 hours I get 2 credit hours of the course added to my school load. It is an anthropology collections internship which involves hands on group work of cataloging , caring, researching, displaying, and photographing collections for a museum. This is absolutely perfect for me since I am in dire need for experience so I can get a decent job come January. The particular collections that will be handled at this time are from Southeast Asia and Latin America, which involve things such as children's toys, textiles, masks, and baskets. No bones are mentioned unfortunately. Experience needed involves: "attention to detail, punctuality, ability to commit to a regular schedule, some experience using Excel spreadsheets, a sense of curiosity and a desire to learn. You will be working in a team so this might not be ideal for those of you who like to work alone. Previous experience with object photography and/or in a museum is a plus, but training will be provided."
I really hope this works out...
