Lola

Well I'm a little late, as of the 6th, 2 days ago, my dreads are now 1 year old!! Yay for them! They have graduated from baby dreads to adult dreads. And although there's a shit ton of things I'd like to write about I will write about something related to the dreads in some way.

Run Lola Run. This film is a film of me. For Christ's sake.

I have never seen this film until recently. The cover of the film has been burned into my mind, I've seen it a million times but never knew what the film was about exactly. My friend texted me after seeing it, asking if I have seen it. She informed me that just about everything about Lola's appearance was just like me, and that it was tripping her out. This friend of mine is very much a visual person and she has known me through my style changes from high school until present, so I trust her opinion. She listed so many different things, that hearing it alone was enough to trip me out. I was at work at the time, so I was telling my coworker about it so she decided to look up an image on her phone which lead to this. That image looks freakishly like me. My boyfriend came by my work within this time so we showed him the image which he, without question, agreed upon the similarities. Her hair which has hidden messy dreads and colors, her eyes, her hands [including long thumbs], her rings, her style of clothing, her booty, her boots, and even the questions and actions she partook as well as her emotions reminded me of myself. The movie itself is awesome, I really enjoyed the way it was made. My boyfriend and I definitely felt like we were watching a movie of me. Furthermore, the actress Franka Potente is one of those women with classic beauty, as my friend likes to call it, where she can pull of any look and completely transform her appearance but still look amazing. If you look her up, and see her with just brown or even blonde hair and how different she looks [not to mention her awesome tattoos]. My friend, as well as my boyfriend, have in different words said the same about me and my beauty. Finally, I found a match. Lola will be my alter ego.
