Time Machine

I'm not going to deny it, I want to see Hot Tub Time Machine. I really do. First of all, I fucking love John Cusack. And that's probably all I really have to say about him. He is probably the biggest driving force of my desire to see this film. It seems just as silly as most of those movies in the 80s themselves. So, maybe, if I find time this weekend I'll go see it. I know I saw Repo Men and Alice in Wonderland recently. But I have not come close to getting my movie fix. Not even close. Heh, I'm pretty much never satisfied in that field. [Insert related Tool lyric here]. So I guess I will make this post all about film.

I hope I will find the time soon before it is out of the theater to see the independent film starring Ben Stiller, Greenberg.

I was walking around Target yesterday, searching for a birthday present for my friend. Instead I just saw a large handful of films I had to force myself not to buy. Some which I've seen and some which I haven't. I Love You, Man. Paris, Je T'aime. New Moon [Why not? I do need to own it]. The Hangover. Inglorious Basterds. Star Trek. Let the Right One In. The Ugly Truth. Precious. New York, I Love You. Fight Club. Seven Pounds. Sherlock Holmes. Sunshine Cleaning. Capitalism: A Love Story. Whatever Works. The Fourth Kind. The Secret. The Soloist. Milk. Cold Souls. The Heart is a Drum Machine [which I am ordering right now]. Donnie Darko. An Education. Anchorman. Get Smart. Bruno. District 9. The Time Traveler's Wife. Oh and the list goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on. My wish list overwhelms me. The books and the movies. Ugh!

So I came across this picture article and learned of some new remake films that will be coming out this year. Some which I don't know anything about but look exciting, as well as some that spare me no interests. I have very mixed feelings about remakes. I am aware that people of older generations generally aren't a fan, and I know that I will most likely be the same way as I get older, or even now. However, yes, new technology and innovation as well as acting quality does make some of these films "better" or at least worth watching. Especially older films which have a very interesting story but didn't quite have the technology to really live up to the awesomeness, those are where remaking has its perks. Tron, for example, I can't say I recall knowing anything about it. But just the picture of it in the article makes me pretty damn excited. Plus, fucking Michael Sheen will be in it, even better! However the biggest thing about remakes that annoys me, with all of the pros aside, is the unoriginality. That's usually the first thing that comes out of my mouth when discussing remakes. I feel Hollywood has run out of ideas and just goes around making remakes of every goddamn movie. Unoriginality really annoys me. Especially with all the technology we have! I'll keep it at that.

Ok and because I don't feel like opening up a new post, I'm going to stray from the film theme and post some things from Texts From Last Night to put a smile on your faces, or perhaps more.

I think the boy in my gender studies class cried when 90% of the girls said they had faked an orgasm

you never realize your highschool teachers are real people till you fuck one of them

i just heard her through the wall saying "not on my face! NOT on my face!" then a scream and "I SAID NOT ON MY FACE!!!"...nice work dude.

He had the Transformers symbol tattooed to his chest. We had to do it doggy style so I could laugh into my pillow instead of his face.

I'm home with mono, wearing knee high socks, shorts, a stained old shirt, and a surgical mask. He comes over ANYWAY with soup, a gas mask, billions of DVDs, and eats me out. He's either stupid, whipped, or i'm just THAT good.

Ohhh good times!
