In the Criminal Justice System, Sexually Based Offenses Are Considered Especially Heinous

Ok, I finally got some answers, so I can calm down a bit. Summer financial aid isn't posted until around April, so I can stop worrying about not getting it. I know I'm eligible, I've just been worried about it going through since this is only the second time I've ever enrolled for summer courses and because I didn't do it this early. So I can breathe for this month then. I'm stressed because I desperately want to graduate this year and not next year. Sooner the better. And it is also incredibly stressful to register the past year or so due to budget cuts which cause class availability to become shit. It's pretty lame. Registering for classes is always sort of complicated and now is only further complicated. But I have all my classes registered for, now I just have to wait and deal with the money part. Which has it's lovely stress induced factors as well. If all works out, this summer I will be taking a Sociology of Deviance class, which is one that I am soooooo excited to take. It is taught by my current Courtship and Marriage professor who is absolutely awesome. This class at least somewhat covers sexual deviancy, I'm not yet sure if it is all about sexual deviancy or not, but it is at least partly. Woo for that! And then two anthropological classes that gear me closer to filling up my graduation requirements. This fall semester will consist of Bioethics in Film [as I have mentioned], Women in Other Cultures [an anthropology course], Human Osteology [a class I have also desperately been wanting to take], Language Science [finally a class other than sign language from the Speech and Hearing Science department], and a 1 credit hour class withing the educational psychology department on Learning and Memory. These classes are random and all over the place but like I said, it's really difficult to find stuff to schedule for. I almost signed up for a criminology class on sex offenders and sex crimes but I'm somewhat confused about the number of credits it allows for, and I figured it would be easier for me if I had more of a criminology background. Just want the easiest classes I can get to fill up the time space. The educational psychology class is what I'm hoping to be an easy class just to get me enough credit hours to be full time so I can get financial aid. I didn't want to bombard my schedule with too many classes than I really needed, although I technically am taking a little bit more than I need. It's the only way I can get sufficient financial aid, which also contributes to my difficulty of the process of registration. So some of this may not be of any significance to you, maybe some of it is. But a good reason for my posting this is it helps me at later times to look back on these things if I ever need to recall the process and/or timing. For instance, last year I made a post about my summer enrollment, which I recently looked up for the sake of figuring out around what time I did that and when my financial aid was offered. It definitely helps!

I also just purchased my V-Day tickets for this Sunday. Vagina Monologues at ASU going on this weekend. I can only make it to the Sunday show at 7pm due to work restrictions. So, if you're interested in going, please do! Ticket and info links here.

I also realized that my current job is now my longest held job. I worked at Savers for 3 months shy of 3 years. This month marks my third year at Sally Beauty. So hooray...? Ha.

Earlier tonight I overheard my dad watching Law & Order. Everyone knows that signature sound in between scenes, that "bom bom" sound. Yeah. I miss hearing that. Haven't watched that show in quite awhile. It used to be one of my addictions for quite some time. Well, I'm off to study and watch my free rental.
