Halo

It's been driving me crazy for awhile. I keep hearing this song on the radio. All I knew was that it was sung by a female African American pop artist. And the only lyrics I could hear were "baby" and "hey ya." Turns out the "hey ya" was really "halo." I was telling a coworker about it, last week hoping she would have a better idea than I did. But to no avail. After much research on only the little information I had, I could not figure it out. Finally heard the song again tonight, just as I got into my car as I'm leaving work. Texted my coworker to let her know it was playing, whose phone is probably dead at the moment. I tried hard to listen to the lyrics, which is quite hard for me. So I finally got to "baby I can see your..." I typed that in and boom, I got Beyoncé's "Halo." It's funny because when I was trying to explain it to my coworker I had said that I feel like it might be Beyoncé, whose music, I realized, I don't necessarily like a whole lot. Well, I like "Halo" quite a lot. I love the beats. Them beats. I'm glad to have solved that damn mystery. I can be quite consumed by figuring out songs that I hear. Which can be insanely difficult for me because I can only piece very little lyrics together. Frustrating, I say.
