Fading Images

There is currently something wrong with my router so there is no internet connection on my laptop, therefore posting has and probably will be at a minimal. I'm too lazy to try to fix it, but I'll get around to it soon enough.

I finished reading The Lovely Bones last night. Man, what a really good fucking book. I also came across this article the other day, discussing the major change in the film versus the book. In the book, the girl gets raped and murdered, in the film, they leave out the rape. I can't say I necessarily agree with Peter Jackson's reason to do that but I can understand it. Now, I think I shall finally start reading The Time Traveler's Wife. I'm excited.
So, today is Christmas and this is probably the first time that it feels like any other day and the first time that we have absolutely no holiday decorations up in our house. The only thing I would of asked for is Christmas lights. I love them and have too many beautiful memories of them. It's the first time that I've accepted it to be kind of like any other day. I actually don't mind it, it makes it easier for me in the sense of my trying not to celebrate religious holidays. The memories of childhood are the main reason I used to like the holidays and it's disappointing when they don't go as well as they used to. But yes, this year I have finally just accepted it. I'm fine with that.
