I came across a bumper sticker that said, "Uncle Sam wants you TO SPEAK ENGLISH"
First of all, I do understand the existing annoyances of when interacting with someone who doesn't understand nor speak your language. However, in this country of supposed freedom you wish to put restrictions and enforcements on the language an individual speaks. You and your pride of American freedom and you want to limit the freedom of others. This country does not have an official language, and quite honestly, I don't think one is necessary. Regardless, the opportunity and resources to learn a language of one's desire should be available widespread and easily accessed.
This issue actually bothers me more than it ever had.
On a much much lighter note, I have acquired a great deal of my Halloween supplies. I'm beyond excited. I had a general idea of being in medical uniform covered in blood, inspired from films such as 28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later, and Planet Terror. Today while walking around yet another Halloween store, an official title came to mind. MORTICIAN!!! I'm so excited, I find pleasure in this because it isn't so far off from what I want to be in reality. But my costume is more so a mortician of zombies. Even better. Now I just need some minor accessories and to complete the actual creative process [better known as blood splattering]. Oh yes.
Pictures seen here are, in order, from the films I just mentioned. There are specific scenes that my costume relates to, but these are the only images I could find. Just anything regarding medical staff in these films, really. 28 Days/Weeks Later are one of my most favorite films. The first one particularly. The musical score and the cinematography is just astoundingly beautiful to me. They fit so well together. I just love everything about it. I reallllly need to watch it again. Ah, I love Halloween.
I've decided to see the independent film Bright Star later tonight. I have seen the preview and apparently have not mentioned it on here before. But I just discovered, yet again, the actor Ben Whishaw [from Perfume] is in it, so I have a much greater desire to see it. It's not some silly girl crush, or a crush at all. I have a lot of respect for this man as an actor and am intensely eager to see him in other works. So I decided on a whim to go see it. A post-movie post is promised, of course.
