Soul Searching

I absolutely hate when my alarm clock or someone else wakes you up from a dream in which some action is just about to start. By action I generally mean that of intimacy, today was that of kissing. Just exactly as lips were touching my alarm went off. I think my dreams and alarm work together in some sort of conspiracy to deliberately drive me crazy and piss me off.

Speaking of sleeping. I have absolutely no consistency, well some, but not as much as most people I know. I guess that what you get for being a student. Most of the close friends I have wake up the same time everyday, although it is earlier than I usually wake, it is normal for them. Me, I have a work schedule that is different every day that I work, and random days off, it's not consistent at all. Then I have school, which currently is only two days a week and luckily I do get up the same time for both days. But that is only two days of the week which get further messed up by other schedules. My point is, although some things are considered early for me and maybe not for others which get up 5-6-7ish every morning, it is the inconsistency that makes it difficult for me. Every day is literally a different day, and not the same as those with their normal unchanging pace. This is not a complaint but a point that I've had in my head that I felt like expressing.

2 independent films have been released recently that I really would like to see. Adam and Cold Souls. I have seen the preview for Adam before and am very captivated by the story. Cold Souls, I just recently read about, the biggest appeal of this film is Paul Giamatti. That man is amazing at every role he plays, I love his films! The more I read the more I get excited about this film.

So today is the second day of classes, my only complaint thus far is boredom. Archaeology classes, as I've said before, can be very dry and boring. Boring in the sense of how they are presented, otherwise the information is interesting. I've just taken several of these classes so far and a lot of the stuff overlaps, therefore I've learned a lot of it before, if not multiple times. Also, the beginning is always an overview of the study of anthropology which I've learned many times over. Another thing I want to mention in regards to anthropology, is the anthro [for short] student world here at ASU is very small. Just about every anthro class I've taken there are the same students that I've seen semester after semester. It also serves as a constant reminder of the budget cuts here as well, class availability is so small in comparison to my first year here, it's ridiculous.
