Hyperlinked!

Yesterday was quite a day. My fabulous friend and I went to IKEA, I bought two pretty sweet pieces of furniture. One tall bright red bookcase which fits all of my books and more! It's very exciting to see them all at once and all organized. It's a miracle! And another shelf/table thing. I'll have pictures of my room posted once I'm actually done putting everything away. I've been working on my room for a week now but have been incredibly busy at the same time. I have to work all weekend which is a real big pain in my asshole [that was intended to be read in a Borat voice]. But so far my room will be more organized and awesome than it's ever been. Next, I'll probably need another bar to go in my closet, for all the goddamn clothes I own.

Watching Bear Grylls after a few beers is probably the most amusing thing ever. Who ever knew that Alabama is crazy dangerous?! Jesus.

Went to some art galleries in Scottsdale tonight. Haven't been there for a few years now, so it was nice. Wish I had more energy and time to check out more of the stuff there. One artist, local in fact, particularly shook my bones. Peter Skidd is just ammmazing! He uses acrylics on steel, and the effect is absolutely breathtaking. I was sighing the whole time while standing in front of his work for an extended amount of time. The pictures of his work don't do nearly the astonishing amount of justice that the eyes can enjoy in person. I assure you the amazingness is worth a visit. His art is currently showing at the LeKAE Gallery in Old Scottsdale and will also be shown the beginning of next year at another Scottsdale location. This was personally one of my favorites of the few that I saw. The metal and the lighting create this incredible effect like that of water ripples in the sun when looking at the pieces in different angles. The colors are just fucking gorgeous and shiny and metallic and all that wonderful goodness that makes my insides smile.

I want to get some sheets of metal now.
Nick Cave is also a very interesting artist. Very effective, creepy, and intriguing.

Busy weekend ahead of me, my first day of class is Tuesday. Tomorrow I'm going to Olive Garden, it's been awhile and I miss that place and my lady whom I'm going with. I'm tired and exhausted, time to read and snuggle with the Sparkster.
