Adaptations

Just washed my dreads, found a new way to dry them. Riding outside on my electric scooter, the sun and wind do it good. Now I need to charge my scooter, it doesn't have nearly as much power as it did when I first got it.

Last night I finished reading the book Speak, didn't take long to read at all. A film is based off of the book, starring Kristen Stewart. Years ago I saw part of it on TV, but didn't get to watch it all, then earlier this year I saw some other parts. So I found the book and decided to buy it. I could not help to constantly picture Kristen Stewart and thinking about her character Bella in Twilight. It's oddly similar but with a different story line. Rape rather than vampire boyfriends. I'll take vampires over rape any day, but the book was good nonetheless and highly relatable. Heh, I just made up a new word. Interestingly enough, Kristen's real life boyfriend stars in the film adaptation as well. I really need to see it now, after reading the book.

I watched a film called Adaptation by Spike Jonze last night, it was pretty cool, I enjoyed it. I've see the cover of the movie box countless times during the past wanderings I've had in movie rental stores. Now I finally know what it's about. I enjoyed the style in which it was filmed and I cannot deny that I do like Nicholas Cage, he's impressive at his work. I especially love him in Matchstick Men.

Beck is a Scientologist.

And some continuing bad but expected news. My dad, once again, brought up the possibility of putting my dog Sparky down. This was a more civil conversation that included the input of myself and my brother, rather than just my dad yelling about his annoyances. It's something that is going to happen eventually, but we agreed not now. His health and mentality is declining but he is not quite suffering, he is still happy and not in immense pain to where we can actually see it. Therefore, when he is obviously suffering, that will be the time. Regardless, I'm gonna be a mess.
