To a comment I got about swimming with red hair. I actually bought a swimming cap 2 years ago. Only used it a few times, but today I discovered how completely worthless it is. My hair was wet the whole time, didn't seem to affect the color though. I'll live for I'd rather not have a tan line across my forehead...yes, I have a minor one right now. I'm using semi-permanent colors now anyways, so I'm redying it every now and then anyways. Red doesn't attach to the hair cuticles as well as every other color, unfortunately that is something we will just have to live with.
