One of my dear favorite artist, Alex Grey, made a beautiful painting of Obama. On his website, you can see the progression of the painting, which I found to be very interesting since I've always been very curious how he goes about painting. I know he uses oil and he has so many layers of details in his paintings it's exhausting for me to stare at them just thinking about the amount of work he puts into his art and yet they are so large and so many in quantity. He's truly amazing in my opinion.

I mean, you can click to enlarge this photo and just see all the details, the stars in his eyes, the veins and flesh under his clothing...this isn't even the most detailed of his work, not even close!
