In exactly 1 week, the film adaptation of Chuck Palahniuck's Choke is released in theaters. I had just recently finished the book and am not sure how well the film is going to be. However, some of the previews I have seen have taken parts directly from the book, so that's good news. It's just such a fucked up, profane, and obscene story I'm sure not a whole lot of it will be involved in the film.

Goddamn Hollywood
I hate how Hollywood takes amazing books and gives off this totally inaccurate representation to the people who see their films. I Am Legend is a good example. I read that book in 8th grade and again last year. It is by far one of the most amazing vampire books I've ever read. I will most likely continue to reread it over the years. Anyways I wasn't thrilled at all when they were releasing yet another movie based off that story. This movie is a huge disgrace to the book and it upsets me that to people who haven't read the book but see the movie assume that's what it's all about. NO!!! The book is a trillion times better, that film is just a disappointment and not to mention nearly an entirely different story. I'm detailed orientated if you must know, and I understand making films exactly like a novel isn't easy and isn't always as entertaining as people want it. But, they should of not tried it at all. The 1964 film, The Last Man on Earth, was a much better adaptation and follows the story very closely. I say, if you haven't read the book, read it. It's a very short story, but one that you'll never want to end.
