Pretty much disappointing, but still worth the hour of my time that I spent there. I took my friend whom I've been teaching ASL, so it was good to expose her to a large group of people that all sign. We watched a deaf magician, it was interesting and cute. We weren't there long mostly due to the fact that it was hot as hell outside with very limited shade space. To sum it up the festival was much smaller than I expected, I recently attended a Deaf Expo and that was far larger and more interesting unfortunately. Well, at least, next year I know to attend other events during the Deaf Awareness week.
In good news, I am eagerly looking forward to receiving my new hearing aids tomorrow, with an additional set of digital hearing aids for me to try out. I usually hate getting used to new hearing aids but this time I am excited because my current hearing aids are at that point where they act up and it annoys the fuck out of me. Plus, this appointment excludes me from work tomorrow. Double win! ;p
